Died at 75 at Cushing Memorial Hospital. He lived in Farley all ofhis life. In his early years he operated a blacksmith shop in Farley,after which he was a Hupmobile and McCormick- Deering dealer forPlatte County. For several years he travelled for InternationalHarvester and since 1939 he had been associated with Lewis & Son,Platte City, Mo.
He was a member of the Christian Church at Farley.
He is survived by his wife, Maude Fankhanel, of the home; twodaughters, Mrs Rosemary Bleakley, 228 5th. Ave., and Mrs JeanneForbach, RR 2; one son, Merle Fankhanel of National City, California;one brother Herman Fankhanel, East Leavenworth, Mo., and sixgranddaughters.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Platte CityChristian Church, the Rev. LesterM. Weeks officiating. Burial will beat the Platte City Cemetery. Rollins - Mitchell Mortuary, PlatteCity, will have charge of the service.
Death certificate confirms date of death as 12/25/1957. He's listedas a sales clerk for International Lewis & Son.
